Cox and Co Salon is an independent hair salon based in Plymstock, Plymouth, known for its friendly, relaxed atmosphere and strong focus on colour work and precision cutting. Founded in 2017, the salon has built a loyal local following and has been recognised for both its colouring expertise and customer experience.
The salon operates with a team of self-employed stylists, each offering their own pricing, services, and booking approach. This gives clients the flexibility to choose a stylist based on experience, style, and budget, rather than following a single fixed price list.
Alongside everyday cutting and colouring, the team also offers bridal styling and more tailored services, with an emphasis on making clients feel comfortable and at ease throughout their visit.
The project
The key challenge was translating how the salon actually works into something clear online.
Because each stylist is self-employed, there isn’t a single price list or booking system. Instead, clients need to understand:
who the stylists are
what each one offers
how much they charge
how to book with them directly
To solve this, I structured the site around individual stylist profiles. Each stylist has their own page with:
• a clear price list
• a short introduction
• their services and specialisms
• direct booking options
This mirrors how the salon operates in real life, making it easier for clients to choose the right stylist without needing to contact the salon first.
I also made sure the wider site supports that journey, with clear access to:
• opening times and location
• contact details
• salon policies (including colour consultations and skin testing)
• galleries for colour work and bridal styling
The result is a website that removes confusion, reduces back-and-forth enquiries, and lets clients book with confidence — whether they’re new to the salon or already have a preferred stylist.

The Feet & Face Place is an established beauty salon based in Pontcanna, Cardiff, offering a wide range of skincare, beauty, and foot health treatments in a relaxed, one-to-one setting.
Founded over 30 years ago, the business has built a strong local reputation through consistent, high-quality care and experienced therapists. Treatments range from advanced facials and massage through to chiropody and routine foot care, giving clients a single, trusted place to look after both skin and wellbeing.
The focus is on straightforward, professional service — with clients returning for reliable treatments delivered in a calm, friendly environment.
The project
The aim was to bring clarity and structure to an established business with a wide range of treatments, without losing the personality and trust it had built over time.
I redesigned the website in Wix Studio to make it easier for visitors to understand what’s offered and how to take the next step. With a large number of services, the focus was on organising content into clear sections so clients can quickly find the treatments relevant to them.
Key information such as services, pricing, and contact details was made more accessible, helping reduce the need for back-and-forth enquiries. The layout was simplified to guide visitors naturally towards getting in touch, whether by phone or enquiry.
The site was also built to perform well across devices and support local search visibility, giving the business a more reliable and professional online presence that reflects its long-standing reputation.
